Welcome to City of the Great Machine — a richly thematic, asymmetric, and deeply immersive board game for 1–6 players that blends intrigue, strategy, and hidden-movement tension into every turn.

Hidden Movement of Mechanics

Every round each Hero selects a district they are planning to move to in secret. Their decisions are hidden from the player who controls the Great Machine, creating uncertainty and bluffing opportunities.

The Great Machine tries to anticipate, which district a Hero is heading toward, whether they are converging on a mission location, and whether they plan to incite a revolt or do a form of sabotage in the target district.

The Great Machine spends resources to move Servants and Patrols, attempting to intercept or block the Heroes — but without knowing their exact intentions.

🧩 Game Modes

One-vs-Many Mode. One player controls the Great Machine trying to better the human race and complete the Master Plan, while the rest cooperate and rebel against them. This creates asymmetric gameplay, and strategic tension between the sides.

Solo Mode. A single player can experience the full game using automated enemy rules. The AI system simulates The Great Machine, allowing for strategic solo play without needing other players

Cooperative Mode. All players work together toward a shared objective - beating the all-powerful Great Machine, which controls the City.
